I’ve been studying Van Gogh’s work for a school assignment, and I’ve come to love it, especially Window in the Studio, A Pair of Shoes and Starry Night.
Unfortunate how Vincent never lived to witness the impact his work would have upon society.
I just love how he paints what he sees, not what he wants to se or what he wants to be there, which a lot of artists do. His paintings are so honest.
I’ve heard that John Brack, an Australian artist, was mainy influenced by Van Gogh and now i know why, because Brack’s work is all about irony.
I love Vincent Van Gogh. My favorite paintings of his are Sunflowers, the Reaper, the Potato Eaters, the one of his room, and so many others. They all hold such unique qualities. His last self portrait is so haunting.
I think my favourite Van Gogh painting would be Starry Night and I love the Don Mclean song Vincent which is about this painting.
